Spare the Air In Silicon Valley

We are a few minutes from Moon set. Today, December 18 is a Winter Spare the Air day in San Jose, California.


While not infamous for air pollution, Silicon Valley is, a valley. As such weather conditions, along with human activity, can make for days we need to spare the air. These days are known as Spare the Air days as declared by Bay Area Air Quality Management District. There are both summer and winter spare the air days, and the rules and recommendations for them are slightly different.
