The Great White Shark
We are in the viewing area of the aquarium's Open Sea Exhibit.
Today the great white shark is the most popular creature at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
The shark is a young one, about 4 feet, 10 inches long and weighs just over 50 pounds.
We see the shark from the side view, this shark was released in the waters near Santa Barbara on October 25, 2011. Sadly the shark died soon after released.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has Project White Shark to help study and increase awareness of the white shark.
As you can see, the view of the shark and other sea life gives us a wonderful view into another world, this other world is just off the coast of California.
We also have some video of the great white shark to share. Check this page again, when done, we will place the link here.

A Leopard Shark
Here is a different shark in a different display tank. We are looking into the Kelp Forest at a Leopard Shark at the
Monterey Bay Aquarium. The aquarium has Leopard Shaks on display pretty continually.
